mobile menu not working on ipad at 768 portrait

hi

I am testing opencarts default template on a ipad2 with safari latest version. The mobile menu is not displaying, only the desktop menu. I have checked opencarts demo site and it does the same thing.

the cart and other mobile functions are working but not the mobile menu.

- This is not a z-index issue and the desktop menu is still appearing.
- testing in Dev version of firefox, the mobile menu swap works at 767px but we need this menu for ipad 768 x 1024, particularly for portrait view
- can't find any CSS that is controlling the menu activation

can anyone please tell me if this is a specific bootstrap issue and how I can change?

I think this is just an issue with the old ipads as i had the same using an older ipad but the newer ones work fine
