Have no idea for the gridview is not functioning at my category page , anyone can help fix this? Refer attached photo is the button that i mention , after clicking my product is not displaying the view , currently stuck at list view.

Do you know what files you edited? I suggest replacing them with files from a fresh install. To edit the colours, you should only need to edit the CSS file, not any HTML.

It would be difficult to break that button just with the CSS but it would be possible so I suggest make a copy of your work and replace the stylesheet with a fresh one and see if that fixes it. Then carefully re-apply your changes, testing the button as you go, and that way you will find out which of your changes caused the issue.
