If it would originate from many suppliers, I would rely on the use of their APIs to accomplish this.Qstarw wrote:I was wondering what modules you guys use to import products (and update stocks)from other websites ...not necessarily open-cart based. I am building a massive store with many suppliers that have different platforms and I want some way of fetching and update the products automatically.

Running Opencart v3.0.3.9 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.
There are, indeed, countless CSV extensions you could rely on from the extensions of this site. The mostly used would be this one: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... sion_id=17 . Although, it wouldn't automatically feed your CSV files but only allow to manually insert them along new CSV files that you may download from each providers compared to filtered APIs.labeshops wrote:I am actually wondering the same thing. None of my suppliers have api's so trying to figure out a way to do it. Most of mine have csv files.

And no API is required, who will have such?labeshops wrote:None of my suppliers have api's so trying to figure out a way to do it. Most of mine have csv files.
Use a simple CSV file, best if packed (as .zip to speed up the download, otherwise the download could be broken if the file is very big).
I have made such a module, highly configurable, can store images if provided also locale (also inside descriptions).
If someone may need it, just send me a PM (because still not published).

While this extension is very good ... Excel (.xls) is not CSV.straightlight wrote:There are, indeed, countless CSV extensions you could rely on from the extensions of this site. Any bigger corporation that needs to publicize mass information within a schema on separated pages class would be the ones who would need it as despite the reflection on downloading massed file size which is still considerably and manually entered even if the file size would be smaller. And no API is required, who will have such?

Good to know. Perhaps the developer of that extension should be notified that his key tags are invalid based on 'CSV export' and on the 'CSV import' - found at the bottom of the page.OSWorX wrote:While this extension is very good ...
