Hi

Let me start out bu saying that i´m a beginner and do not know much html etc.

I have installed Opencart successfully ( shop.fashionislife.net ) but after spending a few hours in the admin-page i haven´t found were to:
-change the logo
-remove "powered by opencart"
-replace "Congratulations! You have successfully installed OpenCart. Please begin to configure your installation in the administration. Good Luck!" with my own text..

How do you do that? ...and how to get the sub-categorys right? (Some work, some don´t. Take a look at shoes that work, but menswear that doesn´t for example.. SAME settings..)

Would be nice with some help

I think that you cannot remove (see the license) "powered by opencart", but I'm not sure.

The text is in:
catalog/language/english/plugin/home.php

but check the license to see if you can remove these text

Have tried "catalog" in the admin-area, but there is no language or plugins...?

There is no problem to remove powered by OpenCart.

it is in the main english file or the module/footer file

Someone got a guide for the rest of questions?

The ONLY things i have to do right now is:
-change the logo
-get my categories to work properly (sub-categories doesn´t work on some..!)
-remove "powered by opencart"
-replace "Congratulations! You have successfully installed OpenCart. Please begin to configure your installation in the administration. Good Luck!" with my own text..
-Get my information to work (contact etc..)

This is the things i need to fix, and then i can start selling my products..

Anyone with some documentions, faq-help?

Do i need to upload things from my computer to the admin part?

If i can´t change these five things, i need to change the cart to another..

you can edit the logo in fireworks o rchange it from the template header.tpl.

powered by opeencart is in footer.tpl

no documenation at the moment. When i release the big v0.7 i will begin writing the documentation with loads of other stuff.

My questions above some of the last ones, then i´m ready to start with the project..

...the files "daniel" is talking about, are they to be find in the admin-area or somewhere else? ..and how do i change them so that they have my information, or upload?

It would be nice with a beginner-documentation, but i don´t have time waiting on next release..need to start right now..

look in directories of OpenCart, somewhere is directory named template... 

Yes, i have been there.. There is "image", "plugin" etc.. But where do i change the logo? Ang how do i upload it to the homepage? Don´t understand the system....

well, then you should hire someone, that'll do the job for you...

I have the same question about changing the logo.  I've looked in every file containing the words "header.tpl" and don't see anything that looks like a setting for the logo.  I looked through ever .png, .jpg, and .gif to see if I could at least find what the logo file is called to find the the reference, but all to no avail.

Where's it changed??

Don't take it wrong, but how can you setup/manage an electronic shop without knowing (at least) HTML?

today i've also discoverd the OpenCart Shopsystem and i realy like it.
But I'm unable to delete the "Congratulations! You have successfully installed ..."-Text, too.
I still have deleted the install directory. Where can i find this text?

The file you need is home.php which is located in /catalog/language/english/controller/
