Hello there,
I need to upgrade my OC installation to the latest version, however I am doing this from a 2.0.3.1 installation. I know there is an easy way to do it, but I can't find a detailed step by step instruction sheet anywhere (even YouTube).
I just started working with OC within the past year, however we have not updated after 2.0.3.1 due to server and theme issues.
Right now I am using the Journal theme which is highly rated, but seems to be having MASSIVE issues connecting to third party plugins like Ship Station.
Recently I received an error that we have lost connection so Ship Station due to the Journal theme and the Journal theme is giving me errors that my OC installation is out of date.
I figure the only way around this is to simply update OC.
Worst case scenario I am willing to pay to have the update done, but I would REALLY like to know how to do it for further cases.
Any help is beyond appreciated!

Right now, with all the changes going from version to version, there isn't a clean upgrade script although, one of the top developers has been working on one. (Qphoria). You could search the forum for it and give it a try on a separate install. Otherwise, I would suggest waiting for the next release.

Thanks for the reply!
Even if I could get on to 2.1.X that would be better than what I'm running right now. I just want Ship Station to work and it looks like me updating to something other than 2.0 will help out a lot.
Granted it also might just be the theme I am using... for whatever reason that theme like to complicate things.

You can disable the theme and see if Ship Station works. That will rule things out for you.OSVWebMas wrote:Thanks for the reply!

Clear your cache after you change a theme or make any major changes.OSVWebMas wrote:That did not help, instead it turned my site completely wacky and now I have to try to get it to look how it did before I disabled the theme.

Switching between Template should not make you loose anything in Journal unless you switch Template before saving any changes you had made.OSVWebMas wrote:That did not help, instead it turned my site completely wacky and now I have to try to get it to look how it did before I disabled the theme.
