I am using 1.4.4 and wondering how can I change which products show up on the main page, under latest products.
Right now I am not sure how are the products picked to appear there.
Please help.

latest products are just that the last products that you entered.

you don't have to update latest products it will change as you add products. If you want certain products there and you are using 1.4.8 you should disable latest products and use featured products in the home position.

If you don't want to upgrade I would look into fido-x's homepage module for your version.

If you haven't made any custom changes to the core, it's very easy to upgrade. Just upload the new files and run the upgrade script and everything is handled for you.shivamag wrote:I am using 1.4.4,

As far as your customized looks, if you created a new theme like you should have then it shouldn't be an issue either. If you made changes to the default template, then you are out of luck.
Be sure to backup your files and your database just in case you need to revert back to 1.4.4.
