I am using only 3 methods of payment:  money orders, personal checks and PayPal.  I want to send
all buyers an invoice before they submit payment.  No big deal for moneys orders and checks but how
can I do this for PayPal?  Thanks so much!!

The order confirmation email already takes the form of an invoice and the same information is kept in the customer order history. Both occur after payment. Plus the customer is reviewing the invoice at order confirmation, before payment.

It seems to me that you already have what you want. Unless I am completely missing your point.
