Extension Installer Error with XML file

OC version 2.1.0.1

I am trying to use the extension installer to install the Advanced Multi Level Affiliate System (http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... on_id=5410)

Per the extensions install instructions- I unzipped the file and placed the ADMIN/CATALOG/SYSTEM folders into the correct directories via FTP.

Then there are 3 ocmod.xml files to install with the extension installer.
(1) mta1.ocmod.xml
(2) mta2.ocmod.xml
(3) oc21_fix_affpackx.ocmod.xml

However, when I try to upload any of them, I get the following error:
Directory Containing files to upload could not be found

I have verified that I moved all of the correct files over via ftp. All of the XML files all are all called FILENAME.OCMOD.XML

Am I missing something silly here? Why can I not get this to work? I have been trying to get it to work and searching the internet far and wide for 2 days now and still cannot figure it out.

seems as if it is installation problem.
simply upload all files/folder from openCart2 to root directory

Looks like you are uploading the .zip file in admin extension installer? Instead you should upload each unzipped .xml file separately, not the .zip file. Make sure that they are actually unzipped and you are not uploading them from inside .zip archive.

I am unzipping them and not uploading from inside the zip archive. I STILL get this error when I try and use the extension installer to install an xxxx.ocmod.xml file.
