Set Product in Featured & Specials Module in OC 1.4.8b ?

Hi,

I never set this before. I'm using OC 1.4.8B now. Module Specials & Featured is still empty at frontend. If I set special price for a product at backend, I just see a streak line at old price, and a new price besides it. The Special module is still empty.

How to put some product in these 2 modules on OC 1.4.8b ?

Products automatically appear in the Specials box if Special is set in Product and the date range is valid; if the date range does not include today, the product will show the discount but it won't appear in the box.

To show products in the Featured box, you need to go to the Featured Module and tick the products you want to show.

are you sure about this? if so this is a bug. It should not show the special price if the date range does not include today anymore than it should put it in the specials box.

Thanks. I'm not sure this is a bug or not. I set the start date : 2010-06-09 & end date: 2010-06-30 , customer group = default, priority = 1. But it still doesn't show up in the Specials box ....

Sorry yes, the Special price doesn't show if the date range is not current.

Do you have Limit set in the Specials module? This is the number of items it will display so make sure that it is >0 and that the module is enabled.

I have the featured module installed however I am unable to find the box that will enable me which products to set as featured.

Is anyone able to help ?

once you've installed the featured module click on edit you chose the products to feature there.

I gotta wonder how you managed to enable it without seeing that product list

I saw in a opencart store the featured module but with a kind of slideshow effect. How can I get this?
