If you are using the import mod and doing a bulk upload you can specify the image name but do you first have to upload all the images one by one through the image upload in admin?

I suppose you need to that so it creates the 4 different sized images.

What if you want to upload 50 products with several images of each?

Maybe you could use a photoshop action to create the 4 different sized images and upload them to the cache directory?  I just don't think you can append 22x22 or 100x100 to the filename of each different size image you save with an action.

Because if I am uploading 50 products, with 2 images each, that means you have to go to the image upload page in admin for each picture and enter a name & browse to the pic and hit save. That would take a while you have 100 pictures.  I Would rather upload a folder full of images and use the import script.

We use the Export/Import extension for OpenCart, and we then do the following steps:
1) Export all your products and/or categories to a spreadsheet
2) Edit the worksheets to insert the names of the images and/or additonal images
3) Import the updated spreadsheet back to the OpenCart database
4) Then bulk-upload all the image files to the image directory using FTP

Export/Import Tool * SpamBot Buster * Unused Images Manager * Instant Option Price Calculator * Number Option * Google Tag Manager * Survey Plus * OpenTwig
