I would like to apply two shipping methods to my products. One based on price, using the Subtotal Shipping module and one that is flat rate for large furniture items. Can this be done with out coding?
For example if is someone bought some clothing, the Subtotal Shipping method is applied to the clothing and if they also bought some furniture in the same order, the flat rate is applied to the furniture portion of the order.
This can be done, but not without some coding.
You'd have to combine the features of the Subtotal and Flat rate (or possibly the per-item) shipping modules in a new shipping module. In it, it would iterate through all the products from the shopping basket and test whether a product is a furnitue or clothing item and calculate the shipping costs. PM me if you need, I could probably do it in 1 or 2 working days.
