I am wondering if there is a way to show images from a remote server without the need to upload them to the own server? I just want to insert the URL of the image and my page should show the image from the URL on demand.

I think the easiest way is to replace the image manager with a text input field, and change the controller where loads the images.

I have one that handles remote images from an imported feed. But there are also mods that allow you to have an input field where you can paste an URL.
