I am not able to use the extension uploader. I have completely re-installed opencart with the latest version hoping that would solve the problem. It is not the commonly reported issue of not having FTP access on the server. The site is on a VPS at Dreamhost and we have full FTP access. In addition, the same behavior was noted when the site was installed locally. Even knowing this, I installed the extension called "Quick Fix" that is supposed to smooth out server issues. This extension, that is localcopy.ocmod.xml, installed with the uploader with no issue, but any extension that is XXX.ocmod.zip will not load. It is as if there is a problem with the unzipping function.

The error I get is: Could not connect as dev.ornaments.com:22

I really need help with this. I can't move forward with the site until it is fixed.

Why not use VQMOD along with VQMOD Manager? They have been tried and tested for years...

What is vqmod manager? I don't see it in the extensions.

Can I convert each ocmod extension to vqmod? Why does the ocmod installer not work? If it is not functional, why is it included in the package?

Who cares why it does not work properly (it is new). VQMOD is tried and tested.
