Independant Product Background Color(s) Help Please

I am looking for a mod or someone to hire for a mod.

I'm looking for something (mod) that would allow me to set a background color (only 2 choices - Black or White) for each product to display on the list pages, featured, latest, etc. I sell tee shirts and most are full color but some I'm only able to print on white and some on black. Meaning If it's a white ink design and my product background is white it wouldn't show in the list. If it's a black design and my background is set via css then it won't show.

The problem is, this color change cannot be done via jpg and product image, since when the image they select goes to the product page, I have a mod to show on a tee shirt, where they are able to see the design on varies color tee shirts. So a black box jpg showing a white design when called into the product page there would be a black box image showing on a tee shirt... I need it to just show the png (product image).

So, this would have to be a mod that I can set during product setup maybe next to image asking to show this product with a black background or white background.

There are tons of mods that change backgrounds but that is for the site itself, I need to limit it for each product. If anyone knows of a mod or can create one please let me know.

Dynamic Styling could possibly be used for this -- it is a standard module extension, which means you'd create two modules (white and black backgrounds) and then apply them to two different Layouts.

You can then apply those Layouts to products using the Design tab in the product data. You can set a Layout override there, so you can set which Layout is used for that specific product.

I'm not quite sure it would work the background you want to change (since I didn't quite follow your explanation) but if the color change can be accomplished using CSS, then you can use the extension to do it.
