I have looked on the net but not getting very far

The links for the A - Z on manufacturer page do not show in the SEO friendly form. (see attached screenshot)

They appear as: <p><b>A-Z of Tile Brands:</b>
<a href="index.php?route=product/manufacturer#B"><b>B</b></a>
<a href="index.php?route=product/manufacturer#C"><b>C</b></a>
<a href="index.php?route=product/manufacturer#D"><b>D</b></a>
</p>. ....

Any ideas would be absolutely Super Dupper ;o)
