Active Directory SSO Support

I don't believe I found an answer for this so hoping this could be added in a new rev. We currently use opencart for an IT purchase center for our company. We really love everything about the software and is currently working great for us but our only complaint is that internal users need to register an account and thus remember another account password. We would love to have this integrated into Active Directory so we can use SSO capabilities and the user would authenticate using their AD login/password.

Sorry if there is already a solution for this but I haven't been able to find it.

I am busy working on a plugin to do this. Which version of opencart do you require this, and which version of AD are you using?

I am happy to report that I have published a plugin which changes the opencart login behaviour to now, when enabled try to log into the store using AD.

I have tested it with our own enteprise Microsoft AD successfully (logging in with my email address and password).

It has been implemented for opencart 1.5.x.x
