Multilingual templates for website and sale of prints

I'm currently running a multilingual webpage and shop using WP, WPML and WooCommerce. I'm far from happy with the speed and performance (shop extremely slow) so I'm looking for other solutions. Started to play around with OpenCart last night (the built in template). Also downloaded two extensions (Swedish language/SEO files and live update of prices) and so far everything looks fine and I'm considering jumping ship. I'm looking for a template (free or commercial) that is suitable for a website selling prints. Suggestions are highly appreciated. Is it safe to assume that extensions that the extensions that I've already bought will work with "any new ver2.x template" or is this individual for each template / extension? If the latter is true how do I make sure that the template works with my extensions (which are essential for my purpose) before I buy the template (don't want to pay for something that I can't use).

An Extension is built to match the DEFAULT THEME and VERSION, exept, if it's marked to match another specified Version Custom Theme, always under OC Version-specific Default-System Conditions. That's all, you can expect, anything else is plain Luck. Extensions may NOT longer function, in part or full, in an updated/enhanced Shop-Version, or by use of an enhanced CUSTOM Theme. They also may not longer function, if other Custom Extensions are added to the System, in General.

If this would NOT be the Case, this Forum would possibly be largely empty. But this is an OPEN SYSTEM, and anyone is free to participate. And no Authority exists either, to possibly enforce certain Standards, and/or Rules. Because of this, you may find i.E. Custom Themes, consisting out of less than 1 Megabyte of zipped Data, others are sized 32 Megabyte, just to make you aware, that everything is possible, and exists, in some way, some of it free, some paid, and some even cracked and infected as well.

Thanks. Maybe best to stick with the built in template (works) and only use open cart for the shop part (and WP for the rest of the website).

Actually, You should look around for a responsive Theme, because you'll get punished by Googie, if you use a default theme on a v.1.5.x Version OpenCart Shop. And if you plan, to make Life easy, use one of the Simple one's, possibly without anything required, placed within the 'System' Area, or a VqMod, possibly 'influencing' some existing Functions in unfavourable ways.

I have been checking on this for some time. About 45 such FREE Themes are easy to install and handle, if their Theme Sub is removed, they are gone, out of a System for good. Others are not, and require some attention, in order to even work. I have sampled 44 easy Themes on a Test- Site linked below. Just be aware, most of them will require a little Design-Work, and some are just very BASIC Developer-Versions, still, since the all come for FREE, who cares ?!

Other responsive v.1.5.6.x Themes will be shown on other URL's soon, I cannot include them on the Site linked above, combined with the Mass of harmless others, without producing 'Problems'. Or then, you could buy a commercial CLONE of the V.2.x View, they are available from about 10 US-$ upwards, and TWO of them will be shown on one of my Test Sites soon again.
