Hi,
I was using 1.5.5.1. and using many extensions with it and i guess one of the extension "DB Indexing" changed tables.

Now i took back of database to my desktop and zip the original folder of code from public_html.
then i bought service to upgrade 1.5.5.1 to 2.1.0.1.
Now its giving error in every transaction due to DB indexing extension.
i checked with extension seller and found that its compatible version is not yet available. It i savailabel for 2.0.3.1. I need db indexing extension so i have to degrade down to 1.5.5.1 first then upgrade again to 2.0.3.1.

Now problem is i am not sure how to revert back to 1.5.5.1. Any help plz.

Is it that - i just unzip my 1.5.5.1 code and that it? or do i need to restore my database as well? do i need to run installation steps again? or just copying the code regain its own version?

The reason i upgraded is i wanted good website with responsive and advance features. I was also planning to buy good theme with advance features after upgrading to new version so that my site looks good with latest features.

Please guide how to revert back to 1.5.5.1 and then upgrade to 2.0.3.1

Anyone who can help me all these things.

Thanks & regards
pooja

Thank God i finally able to revert back to 1.5.5.1.
I followed these steps.
1. i rename folder name of 2.1.0.1 and give original name to last original code
2. i rename database name of 2.1.0.1 and restore original database with original file name.

Now question is -

1. Shouldd i upgrade to 2.0.3.1 if i get my extensions compatible to this?
2. what are the benefits of 2.0.3.1 above 1.5.5.1?
3. I wanted to buy some really good responsive theme with all advance features? should i first upgrade version then buy theme? or skip the idea of version upgrade and just go with theme.
4. I doubt, in near future my opencart code will be too old and i will not get its compatible extensions and themes. so how to go ahead keeping future in mind.

Your views / comments will be appreciated.

Thanks
