I can't log in.. I installed new clean copy of OC 2.1. and a new theme.. everything worked fine, but after I started to edit the theme, my computer freezed so I needed to restart the whole thing

After trying to log in this message shows up:
Admin Login Issue: No match for Username and/or Password.
No errors are seen on the front page.

Any advice?

p.s. After trying to reset the password this shows up:
Warning: The E-Mail Address was not found in our records, please try again!

so check, if one exists, in the first place, it seems, you have some installation problem.
And if it does not show some admin info, reinstall again, to have the admin data placed.

Wow I followed the instructions on the link you provided.. thank you, I can now finally get in.. but I found out that username is not mine at all...

it is demo

I think that this has something to do with the theme I installed (or am I wrong??) .. I installed full package.. so after learning that my username is demo, the probable password was the password form the creators of the theme when we could look into admin live--

My question is now.. is this even safe?? I now changed the username under Users.. The theme I uploaded when you come into my page it keeps searching data from their website.. (in browser left below)

I will set the permissions later and try to secure the admin additionally..

Any advice would be much appreciated..

Thank you

Why are there so many lousy template developers living?
Why are so many of them reinventing the wheel new?

First of all when installing a template - especially those with an superdupericanall interface! - is to read their (sometimes also lousy) installation document (if provided).

Second is to inspect their sql commands.
Here for special interest when they are using tables like user ...

What is safe - using no internet for example.
Okay, joking ... no it is NOT if it will be the same forever.
Change it as fast as possible!

Simply edit the user AND the usergroup.

Just to remember, make sure, that this CANNOT happen, regardless of, what link you supply!
Just to mention it!

PS. I guess, I got screwed up by adding the Correct Link to each image,
the exact Contrary is the Case! Still, it's the same Problem !! ;D
