ehlo ERROR

All of a sudden, ive started getting this trigger and emails have stopped

if (substr($reply, 0, 3) != 250) {
trigger_error('Error: EHLO not accepted from server!');
Anyone know what it could be?

Been no updates or changes to server from me.

also have RCPT errors, emails administration side have stopped working, the order notification has stopped so this must be a bug?

Ok got emails working changing SERVER_NAME TO SERVER_ADDR but still getting errors in error log and dialogs
