Some time ago I set up an open cart site http://oc.mickturns.com. Unfortunately a lot of otyhert things intervened and I have just fond time to get back to setting the cart up but I cant log into the admin interface. I know that I am using the correct username/password combination. Worse still I cant reset the password as the system tells me that it does not recognize the admin email address. Using PHPMYadmin I checked the user database table and the admin email address is correct.

Of course, I could just reinstall opencart as I haven't done much on the installation but what then happens after I spend hours adding products etc, the fault recurs and I cant log into the admin interface again? I need to understand what is going wrong.

get this, unzip the File, read the txt.file, then, upload the PHP File to your Shop, CALL it by your Browser, and define a new password to your existing admin User Name:

After use, either remove, or then, at least, rename the file, to make it as secret as possible,
or risk, to be out of your shop, one day, in the worst case...

If this does not work, you have a serious Problem...

Thanks -- that was magic - -it worked! There doesnt seem to be a way of changing the admin account of the passopwrd in opencart.
