I want much more categories to be shown on my main menu categories.

Hello, excuse me for the question and i am newbie in opencart and i am curious to know how is it possible to extend categories number on my top menu default open cart theme from 8 to 12.

Just create a new category and click the tick box add to top

To do that, you can go to admin > Catatlog > Categories > Choose category you want to insert into the menu > tab Data > check the Top (http://prntscr.com/99u8ao)
