Unique Codes Per Items Sold

I have looked around thoroughly and have found a few modules that add the ability to sell codes such as serial codes but the issue with the ones I found is that for each serial code I would like to sell, I need to create a product, even if I have multiple serials for the same software.
What I'm looking for is a way to add a single product for sale, and when the customer orders a serial number, one serial number from a list of multiple serial numbers is sent via email to the customer. The next order would pick another serial number and so on.
I would really appreciate it if anyone knew any modules that could do this.
