What would be the cause for this?

Also, in order confirmation emails, the option value does not show, maybe this is related?

Which OC version are you using?

This error has been fixed in OC v2.1.0.1 since the 'option_value' key has been removed from every PayPal Express arrays.

I have the same issue - and am using OC2.0.3.1

Is there a fix for this, without having to upgrade to a higher OC version?

I fixed the issue but it was a long time ago. I think I just removed that line calling for the option_value
