change side category list

I have a top and side category list. Can i keep the top one but change the side list to a manufacture size list instead. If this is possible how would i do this. Or can i add/change the footer and add them there, but make it easy to edit like the information is within the admin side.

The left column category list is a module which you can turn off and/or move to the right side etc of the layout.

I would advise you to turn off that module and take a look in the extension store for a Manufacturer List module which you can put in it's place
