default products and categories show after being deleted

I'm using just basic oc, and i have deleted the default categories and products. I have uploaded my own, but they don't show in the shop front, the default products etc still do

did you clear your Cache Sections in the
shop/admin/index.php?route=extension/modification

Delete the files in the system/cache folder via ftp
These will auto delete when you edit from the admin, but I assume you used a tool like phpmyadmin to delete stuff which didn't trigger the cache cleanup step
