Products displaying without tax

Hi,

I have had a browse through the forums and seen a few posts for opencart 1.5 but none for 2.0. I've tried most of the advice but am still having a problem.

All our products are showing without tax, this changes when a country is selected in basket or checkout but we want the UK tax bracket to be shown by default.

I have selected display taxes in the settings and also selected use store address to calculate the taxes.

Is there something else we are missing

I had the same problem and found what I did wrong.

In the general settings you make sure that the taxes should be shown at store address.
Make sure that the "tax group" is also based on the store address. This is where I went wrong and fixed my problem.

Thanks for that. I changed the UK TAX (20%) to store address and this did get the tax back on. Only now if you choose a no tax destination like the USA (which is set up as customer address and 0%) it doesnt take the tax off

Tax in the settings should be set-up as Shipping Address (for UK store owners).

Also make sure in settings that you have added your store address (especially the country/state).

Check the GEO Zones for UK has the correct zones added to it for UK, etc

Tax for UK changed to shipping address and corrected a few errors in my Geo zones.
