[Q Moved] Unable to get layouts to work as I want

Hi all,
I am hoping this is something simple to fix. I have searched the forums but not found a solution. The documentation doesn't have enough detail either.
I have added content to my information pages but in the store front al I see is the hompage.
I suspect it's a tiny change I need to make but I cannot see what it might be for looking.
Attached are some settings I have done and I hope someone can see an error?
Thank you

So where do you want this information to show up? on the home page?

Thanks Q,
No I want the About Us, Terms etc. info pages to show the text for that page rather than just the home page design.
Attached is what I have put in the About page but on the site I get the homepage design.

I deleted the whole site and uploaded a fresh install of OC.
I have made some changed to the stylsheet and added a few categories and some dummy pages. I added some modules to the home page.
This time the category pages and the information pages do not show correctly. They have the same design as the homepage again.
This is driving me crazy

I'll add some more screen shots of my setting.

I created a brand new sub domain and installed OC again, completely fresh.
The default theme looked fine. I copied the default theme folder and renamed it. I uploaded it and then selected the new theme name in the Store settings. NO changes had been made to the new theme, it was still effectively the default theme.
I added the store info in settings. I deleted the Demo images folder. I added some products.
That is all I did but the information pages and category pages stopped working.
I tried to backtrack and see if there was something else I had done. I realised I had installed OC using the Softalicious installer in cPanel. So I set up another new sub domain and installed OC manually.
The default shop looked fine and all the pages etc. work correctly. So I started making changes and checked the site after every one.
- Added images to the slider
Uploaded new image folders via ftp
Added logos to the carousel
Added the Latest module
Added some store info, including logo etc.
Changed the footer text
Added categories
Installed Vqmod
Added the mod 'Selected information pages, links in top menu-Many combinations'
Added some info pages to the main menu
Added Lorum text to the information pages
Created a new info page called News
Added Lorum text to the category pages
Deleted the Demo images folder
All without a problem. I did not create a new theme folder this time and I made no stylesheet changes. Then I added a dummy product....
Now the info pages in the footer menu display the homepage and not the content, and so does the About page. News, specials & contact seem to be working ok.
What on earth is causing this?

Forgot to say I can find no errors that seem relevant either.
I had some problem uploading the Mod and that seems to be all that's showing in the logs?

No working link to test. In addition, it's a pain in the eye, to see and handle those giant images. I assume, it would be much better, and helpfull, to shrink them to max. 700px width. You should open an ADMIN DEMO ACCOUNT, at least, to enable others, to check on your Doings andSettings, if you plan, to get this solved...
