Hi

I need some help please

I have installed opencart 1.5.6.4 into a folder call shop but it don’t seem to be connecting to the database as the admin side keeps saying no match for username and or password when is clearly there in the database and the main site for the shop just displays the links etc. but should display the demo products etc.

If I go directly into the database in phpmyadmin, all the opencart tables are there as well as the demo products and admin login info

All the permissions are correct and the two config files are correct so don’t get it

Kind regards

Ian

Try this, it's a Quick Solution to change the password: ;D
Then, at least, you'll know, it's not the 'source' of Error.
Just copy and save as WHATEVER.php File:

ipc.li/os/emergency_admin_new_password_php.txt

It belongs in and is called from the SHOP/ADMIN Root.
BUT MAKE SURE to immediately remove it from the server again,
because ANYONE could do the same, AND LOCK YOU OUT!! :choke:
Or, at least, give 'em an '_888_un-bre_a-k_abl-e' title, and NEVER fix-link it from your
own Browsers, or anywhere else, it could be THE END OF Your Online BUSINESS, eventually!
Works on OC v.1.5.6.x, as tested.

Good Luck

Hi IP_CAM

I have put the following line in a php file and saved it, I have uploaded the php file in the shop/admin/ folder on the server

ipc.li/os/emergency_admin_new_password_php.txt

do I need to alter the ipc.li/os/ part of it to match my url?

just rename the file to WHATEVER.PHP , and upload it into your ADMIN Section, there is NO 'ipc.li/os/', or something similar, in the file itself, to change first!
