Full Width Slideshow

Hello Guys,

I am new to Opencart and much more of a wordpress guy. I have installed OC 1.5.6 and using the theme egestas. I am also using the default slider (slideshow). I have set up my banners with dimension 980 x 400, the slider is working but my problem is the slider images does not take up the full width of the slider (980). In my extension, both banner and slideshow modules are set to 980 x 400 but still its not working, take a look at the attachment.

From the attachment it doesnt assume the full width of the homepage slider, it gets cut at the right side, please help
