Hi we have been working with the software developers for Quick checkout and cannot resolve this issue.

When entering the country etc in shipping estimate on the cart page and selecting a shipping option, the data is not transferred to the checkout page. In the checkout page you have to re-enter the country & shipping type etc as the country defaults to the country at the top of the drop down menu. The shipping data however that was selected in the cart does transfer to the checkout page. The standard opencart checkout works perfectly and transfers all data in the cart to the checkout either as a guest or registered, so we are thinking that it must be related to the Quick Checkout module.

We found that when deleting cookies in the browser, it will work correctly once only, but if we then go back to the cart and change to another country, the checkout will stay set to what was there before. Also I found that if I changed the country in the checkout page, it always changed in the cart page to the same country etc so works backwards ok.

I did tests with some other one page checkout modules on their demo sites and they appear to have the same problem so could this be related to using the fancy ajax etc. Maybe they also need to develop the checkout by doing a specific cart page also using ajax?? not sure to make them work together.

Has anyone got any ideas where to go with this as it is stopping us launching out new OC2 website. This problem by the way also exists in the previous OC1.5 version which has caused many abandoned carts which these modules are meant to prevent.

I have just uploaded a couple videos showing how the standard OC2 checkout works, and the second video is quick Checkout showing the problem.

Fixed this problem after I found out that the Quick Checkout developer has locked the extension to the servers IP address not allowing the extension to be fully installed once the new website was uploaded from a test server to the main server. Be aware that extensions are now being written to only allow a few transfers between different servers before running out of licensing.
