VQmod install causes http500-error

Hi
I've tried loading and installing vqmod to a fresh installation of opencart 2.0.3.1.
After uploading the files and running vqmod/install I get confirmation vqmod has installed

When I try and acces the store front og admin, I get a http 500 error.
Looking at the vqmod folder, there is no vqmod/cache - the only thing in the vqmod folder is "xml" and "install"?

Prior to running install I've made sure index and admin/index are writable.

Any ideas?

I'm having sort of the same issue.

I have opencart 2.0.3.1 and have installed vqmod 2.5.1-opencart
Installation went fine, nice message that vqmod was installed

But now my homepage is empty:
menu, header and footer are there but my slider and other modules on the homepage are missing.
I've uninstalled vqmod but my homepage is still empty!!!!

Does anyone know what went wrong or how can I check that?
