Hi,
I am running my site with English (default) and German which works fine. However, when I click on the German flag the the domain remains in the same form i.e www.mysite.co.nz
Would it not be better for SEO if the German language was in a sub-directory like www.mysite.co.nz/de or does it not make any difference?
On my webmaster tools it is saying I need to install hreflang tags- Is the a better way to let Google know that my site is in two languages?
Thanks any assistance that may point me in the right direction.

Anyway, your Site will be indexed, I have my Testshop Sites indexed,
with Fake Products, and used/did not anything (exept for around
Places like here!) to promote any of the Stuff, in any 'active' way. I even mostly
removed the last link, related to such, in the Header part, to not to seem offensive....
I still do advise you, not to just concentrate on this detail, as long as you have not
'done' everything else, to make your Place fast, efficient, and easy to manipulate,
in short, to be, show, and act, as customer-friendly as possible. LOOK at it as potential,
rather difficult to handle, and spoiled, Customer, not as Seller, trying to show off
It's the 'Information', one presents, in one's Shop, what makes the difference.
As more 'usable' , and commonly 'asked' question, are beeing answerred in a Shop Site,
as more Visitors one can expect on a Site. By full use of today's intelligent Search engine
assistance.
Those are the real Numbers, and the real money, not machine-generated results only.
