Hello,
I'm currently at my wits-end, due to now having my OC website down for over a week, and would really appreciate some help from you experts! I might be able to cut this long story short, but:
sunplastics.co.uk/buy
Running 1.5.4 installation, with vqmod installed, sucessfully for over a year.
I decided to backup (from admin rather than phpmyadmin) and backup ftp files/folders, to attempt an upgrade to 2.0.
This didn't work. So to avoid my website being offline, decided to re-install and make further enquiries.
This is where to trouble began. I thought i'd be able to simply delete the upgraded files/folders, and restore all with the backed up files/folders. This failed, and I was presented with the blank screen.
Upon searching the forums, i've installed the error log into my index, which i tried to rectify unsuccessfully.
I've tried to re-install the database backup into a fresh install of 1.5.4, but admin tells me that the sql file is empty! (it's 17mb - and it's not empty!)
I've tried all i can to get back online, but frankly i'm stumped. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
The site is working for me on the front-end. Are you still having issues?

I did get it working again - but it's since broken (once again!)
I think it's something to do with my vqmod? As i was trying to re-install a mod 'detailed order admin notification' via vqmod and now the site is unresponsive.
I've enabled errors on the site www.sunplastics.co.uk/buy - any idea??

You can temporarily disable a vqmod by going into your vqmod xml folder and adding an underscore to the end of the file name.
So myfile.xml would become myfile.xml_
See if that fixes the issue. If it does, the file is the culprit.

The only mod you should need to do that with is the one that caused the problem.
No, you should be ok.
Probably what is happening is you changed the file vqmod_opencart.xml and added an underscore to the end. However, that xml file is needed for vqmod to function correctly. So make sure that file does not have an underscore at the end of it. Then one by one, you can test the other vQmods.

I *think* i've fixed it.
- by restoring both index.php and admin/index.php files with clean install versions
- renaming vqmod folder to vqmod_old
- installing replacement latest version of vqmod
Mods seem to work OK.
I've still got various errors/bugs due to the earlier crash, which i'll work through!
Thanks for your help.
