Hi all,

my opencart store has been temporarily suspended by my web host as some of my files have been injected with malicious code.

Is this possible from the website front end? has anyone else experienced this?

If you are using an older version of OpenCart (pre 1.5.3 I believe) that has the default encryption key of 12345 you may be vulnerable on certain setups. Check your download file and see if any strange files are present.

Hi there,

I recently had the same problem .. Google flagged my site as " malicious "
My hosting company have been terrible .. Locked me out of my account and will NOT reply to me and my business has been shut for 5 weeks now ..

When I did all of the Google Webmasters tools checks on it .. All the infected locations were all in a " theme " folder.. A theme that I got from this OpenCart website we are on now . But as I say . My hosting provider has locked me out ands wont talk to me now ..

I have now had to totally rebuild my shop from nothing again at a new hosting company and has almost destroyed my business that I have been working tirelessly on for 3 years ..

Good luck buddy !! I hope you get it sorted asap !
