VQMod vqcache files

Opencart 2.0.1.1
Accessing VQMod Manager is bringing up this error :
VQMod does not appear to be properly generating vqcache files!
However, it is generating files into vqcache, but I can't get past that error in VQMod Manager to check logs etc etc.
Some advice would be welcome..thanks !
