Hi All,

one question when you go to a category page, the left hand nav opens full (shows the subcat tree) for a split second while page loads.. is there a way to avoid this? that is shows closed form the minute it loads?

Any help is appreciated.

Could you take a screenshot and provide your site URL, so we can take a look at the problem closer?

Thank you for the response. It's hard to take a screen short , as it appears for less than a second...

Please click the link below and see on the side navigation....the subcategory tree is displayed on the left for less than a second while the page is loading.

Yes, I see the problem.
Could you attach file catalog/view/theme/default/template/module/category.tpl here, so I can modify it?

You can try to replace the category.tpl file with the attached file.

Hi,

I tried the category.tpl you sent but what it does is...it displays all the categories and subcategories when clicked on any top menu. What we want to achieve is ...when someone clicks on the top menu only the main categories are displayed on left. The subcategories are currently displayed for a fraction of second ....we want to avoid this.

I used your category.tpl and showed it to client before moving on. He liked the open tree, so we left it like that.
