Hi

Im not sure if anyone can offer any advice. I have been working on Opencart in a sub directory in the root directory.

To make the site go live would it be as simple as just moving all the sub folders out of Opencart into the root.

I did try this but without much success

Many thanks

Ian

can it not stay live at that? domain.com/shop as an example

otherwise I think you have to change your URLs appropriately in the config.php files and the .htaccess

Total e-commerce newbie bravely testing OC v2.0.3.1 before rolling it live...getting there slowly, somehow. Maybe not. I dunno.

Hi Thanks for your reply

Wouldn't the Index.php file need to be in the root directory?

Hi,

You'll need to move all of your files and folders (including the .htaccess file) and edit both config files from the top to the bottom of the DIR section and change the Rewrite Base line to Rewrite Base / if it isn't already.

Sop would it be a case if removing any reference to "/opencart"
Is the .htaccess file a hidden file. This doesn't appear to be visible on local directory
