Help with changing text on the header on home page

Hi,
Is there anyone online who can tell me how to add text to my page header? I have put the logo in there ok, but my text isn't showing up. Yes I have made changes and gone back to modifications and refreshed but it still won't show up.
I have asked for support but keep getting directed to admin pages that look nothing like what I am using. I have spent hours on this now and just don't know what else to do.
I am using 2.0.1.1.
