There's quite a bit of custom work that has gone into this site
some custom modules (to show the info page on the homepage, the categories, big background image has a gallery it randomly picks an image from on each load of the page (except the customer hasn't filled out more than 1 image yet 
))and a particular nice function is the ability to "brand" the manufacturer pages with the manufacturer colors, and add some category links there (with custom category images if wanted), example:
