help with checkbox module

help with check box option. how do i get the default check box option to list the option in a fixed order any fixed order that i can work with alphabetically numerically or anything.
it is listed properly the way i want it in the back end under option but in the front end its randomly listed.
exampel:
back under option tab:
option 1
option 2
option 3
option 4

front end in the product:
option 3
option 1
option 4
option 2
