Infinite loop slides in slideshow module

Hello,
I just installed the latest version а opencart and make first steps to get acquainted with it.
The default slideshow module on the main screen of the store looks smooth and clean, the only problem there is very fast scroll to the first slide after last slide is shown. I think many users would like to have infinite loop as the default behaviour for the module.

As I figured out, the whole mechanics is made by the component of jquery library named owl-carousel.

The point is, that the looping slides functionality is available only in the last version, which is not the case for the last build of opencart.

I tried to replace the files in javascript directory accordingly but it didn't work for me.
Any ideas on how to make it work will be highly aapreciated.
