So, my mail was definitely working in January. However I went to send a test email today (as I ordered a freebie download to check the download functions from the store and noticed I didn't receive a confirmation email), and nothing is working. Not sending (order confirmations, password reset) or receiving (contact us). No idea what's going on.
I tried both the Mail and SMTP function in Settings.
I tried the "-f" before the email in that Mail Parameters box.
I added the following vqmod to fix the issue as described here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1430 ... ntact-page
I looked in all the folders of the email I was sending the tests to (spam, junk, inbox).
When I switched the mail SMTP settings to my personal gmail I received a "suspicious login alert". (does that mean the emails are sending?)
I've been researching through the forums for nearly 2 hours. Any help is appreciated.
This has been fixed using the vqmod attached, the non-SSL SMTP settings with our hosting provider and using the -f in the mail parameters. We were trying to use the SSL version, and it wouldn't work.
