PLEASE HELP!! :bash:

Running 1.5.6.4
website: designsbydj.com.au

I downloaded and installed the following extension without success. I have emailed the developer and opencart support but yet to receive a reply.

Am really hoping someone can help me with my dilema and help me soon PLEEEEAAAASE!!!

Extension: File Manager
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... earch=file manager&filter_license=0&filter_download_id=36

At the time of the installation, I went through folder by folder, copied across the files but saved the originals before doing so. Stupid me failed to do this with the javascript folders and files under Admin/View and that's where my problem started.

When I thought the installation was successful, tried to log in and couldn't!! Having a bit of a panic, I went back and backtracked my steps, did some comparisons, and notices a bunch of .js files missing. I thought I reinstated everything correctly, went to log back in, was able to, however my admin menu was now gone. I only have the 'Home' link. Thinking it might have been the xml file perhaps interferring with another xml file, I deleted it, but it's made no difference. I still can't see the admin menu. The browsers I've tried in are IE11, Firefox and Chrome.

Prior to this extension installation, things were working well and I could just kick myself...actually, I have :bang:

If I haven't provided enough info, please let me know!!

Hope to hear from someone soon to get this fixed....thanks in advance :(

Was really hoping to hear from someone by now. It's distressing when you have an issue and you exhaust all avenues, be it the support forum, contacting the developer AND contacting opencart support.

Please, please help!!Thank you!!! :( :( :(

You are telling us, that you screwed up, somewhere, by doing something, now, what do you really expect? There is no 'Wizard of Oz' around here, someplace, just waiting to guess, what you could have be doing wrong. You probably never backed up your Shop, as whole, by copying ALL files to your local PC. If you would have, you could easy upload the folder, related, containing, what you need to put it back in working condition.

As as consequence of this, you probably have to upload a 'virgin' subsection, taken from a downloaded original OC, same version, to make it work again. I don't see an easier way.

Since you did not have to pay for villagedefrance's Mod, nor for OC, just don't expect any FREE assistance, it's all for free, for/to anyone here, even the support, occasionally given at this place by some.
No offense, just plain information!
Good Luck

You say no offence, but I DO find you're response quite offensive!
Not that I have to explain my actions to you, but I didn't just copy the files into OC, expect it to work, then expect a 'Wizard of Oz' as you put it to rescue me!
I downloaded locally, saved my originals BEFORE I uploaded. I am not stupid!
Furthermore, I realised I did something wrong somewhere and backtracked my steps to restore things to where they were BEFORE the installation and still found an issue. I still kept at it to try fix it myself! When things still weren't working AFTER I restored it back, it was only THEN that I reached out for help. Isn't that what these forums are for???
and yes, I know it was for FREE!! I am not someone to expect something for nothing and if required I pay, just as I have for other extensions.

At least 1 file is missing from your installation: admin/view/javascript/jquery/superfish/js/superfish.js

Superfish is used to display the admin menu.

Compare the original files in download package with the files on your server.
Copy missing files from download package or copy entire folder admin/view/javascript to be sure.

Hi PPRMKR,

I've just logged on to close this post and noticed you kindly replied to my post. Thank you for taking the time-I'm grateful. For some reason I didn't actually receive notification of your reply, but I'm very happy to say that I was about to close the post as I fixed it. And you were right, was missing the superfish folder, as well as 3 others when I went back and did another comparison. Phew!
It's now all good :D :D :D :D
