Unable to log in

Hello there,

I'm new to OpenCart. After installing it I discovered that I couldn't log in. I'm using the mysql database username as the log-in name, and have tried changing the password a couple of times. No luck. I read on this forum that this problem could be caused by something in the .htaccess file. Can anyone give me some more direct advice? Thank you very much!
