Hi

We have a number of coupon codes setup, which were working just fine, all included a percentage off and free delivery when you used the coupon at checkout.

This DID work fine, no the % is taken off just fine but the free shipping element has stopped working.

I genuinely have no idea why this would be. I have changed the weights throughout the site to be grams rather than Kgs, added a couple of new products and we have had a few orders, aside from that NOTHING has changed.

Please please help guys. Happy to pay if someone needs it, just need this to work asap. arrrggg panic panic.

Free delivery coupons just add a discount in the amount of the shipping cost, once it's applied. If you haven't chosen a shipping rate, it's not going to adjust for the shipping cost (because there is none). Someone needs to choose a shipping rate first, then they'll see the appropriate discount on the Confirm stage of checkout.

The Free Shipping method, on the other hand, just appears when its total and geo zone requirements are met. It's not related to the coupon system.

Yep I realise that, I have added a discount percentage PLUS chosen the option for 'Free Shipping'. It an actual error or bug which I need to fix Jonathan. So a problem :)

It did work fine by the way, I have maybe 10 coupons some with and some without free shipping, they all worked fine, until now.

Hmm...I can't say why that would happen then. If it was working fine and then stopped, I'd suspect a mod you installed is affecting it. Try uninstalling or disabling ones you've installed recently, or if you have incremental backups, try rolling back a test version of the store to a previous date where you know it worked.
