coupons & affiliates proble

Hello, i just downloaded and installed opencart. first of all i must admit. it's amazing.
i'm trying to test the coupons and affiliates. but unfortunately i'm facing some problems. i'm not sure it's bugs, it may be configuration issues.
1. when i'm checkout and enter the coupon code, i doesn't get the discount.
2. when i'm entering the website with the affiliate link but i can't see the deal under the affiliate account.

i will appreciate any help

Don't know what's wrong with coupons, but with affiliates make sure that you have Automatic Commission set to Yes in Settings - Option - Affiliates, or Add Commission on View Order page manually.

Does it say congratulations below the header or does it give you an error in the same place?
