Hi There,

Got a store set up and have added in options on to a product and set quantities onto the options and set subtract stock to yes, i thought this would work like the stock control on the product itself does but it doesnt seam to do anything useful.

for example:

I set the quantity to 4 for "Red" now if i go to the store front I can order as many Red as i want, If i order 6 then the quantitiy for that option in the back office just displays as "-2" and it still allows me to order more Red.

Is there any way to stop this allowing customers to order an option when it reaches 0 without needing to set the options up as new products?

Thank!

I'm not sure what you are explaining but I think you are missing a setting.

First off there are a few values to deal with. Also, only the lesser qty takes effect.

If you have a product "Tshirt" with 10 qty
and you have option "Large" with 8 qty..
and you set the "subtract = yes" on the option
AND you set the "Allow Stock Checkout" to FALSE in the system->settings on the option tab

Than it will restrict stock.
