Hi there,

I'm new to Open Cart and would be very, very grateful if someone could help me.

I have installed version 2.0.1.1, and have been testing out the functions. I have had no end of trouble with modules however.

Reading the Open Cart 'manual' said to uninstall and then re-install modules to see how it works. I have uninstalled the 'featured' module which duly disappeared from the front page. I then tried to put it back again by this method:

1. I went to the back-end and then to 'extensions --> Modules
2. I then clicked on the green 'install' button for the featured module. This re-installed it.
3. I then went to the 'edit' button for the new featured module. I filled out a new name for the module and then enabled it. I noticed that a new module with this name had appeared in the list, and the original module was still there.
4. I then clicked the link at the top of the list which says I needed to go once I had installed and configured the module.
5. This took me to the 'Layouts' page. I found the 'featured' list and clicked the 'checkbox' and then the blue 'edit' button. Once in this screen, I clicked the blue 'add Module' button to select my 'featured' module I had created. I'm not sure what the 'Store - Route' part is for, but I kept 'store' as default and put nothing into route.

After saving all of this, I went to the front page of the website and refreshed but the module is not showing anymore.

I did the same with the carousel, and again it will not display. Just in case, I went back to the back-end and refreshed the back-end via the 'modifications' screen, but nothing is showing on the front page.

I really would be so grateful if anyone can assist as the Open Cart online manual is useless.
