Turning the "weight" off by default in opencart 2.0.1.1

Hi!

I have a problem that is really frustrating. I am getting help from a programmer to build a new site with Opencart 2.0.1.1 and we have used the "Journal" theme with custom made graphics. My homepage will sell 3D models & textures so i will ONLY sell digital content, there will never be any shipping. One of the first things we did was to remove a lot of options in the admin panel that wasn't needed. Right now they are 3 different types of accounts. One for artists,one for buyers,and one for me (access to everything)

The account for the other artists are where the problem begins.... When they try to upload a new item they are forced to fill in "0" in the "weight" slot, You can image how stupid this will look when someone tries to upload an image and have to fill in that information every time they add something.

So here to my question. How can we remove this darn thing? We have an plugin already that makes it possible to remove unwanted text, but what i would like is to get Opencart to check "weight" as zero by default as soon as someone add a new product on hour page, so we don't have to display the option at all, and they don't have to write anything in this field How can we do that?

Well from what i have understood about this,here is how it works. If you have real products that demands shipping on your store you will off course need the weight thing. However if you only have downloadable options like i do you have to put some kind of value in the box everytime you add something otherwise opencart will think its a product that needs shipping,display it on the invoice etc. But basicly you are telling thats not the case? That its suppose to be zero there by default and i simply just have to hide the weight and thats enought?
